Marketing and Trading of Oil and Gas
Sonangol business is the prospecting, exploration and production of hydrocarbons and the marketing of crude. Angola's oil marketing and/or trading is the core activity of our international units in London, Houston and Singapore .
Oil Derivatives
The grease and lubricants of our brand NGOL are produced and marketed by Sonangol Distribuidora. This subsidiary also retails propane tanks, heating appliances and car care products.
Air Transportation
Our airline's, SonAir, core business is to provide air transportation to the oil industry through a fleet of airplanes and helicopters.
SonAir also offers regional flights on a charter basis to some countries in Africa as well as acting as the agent for the United States-Africa Energy Association (USAEA) in arranging a private charter flight between Luanda and Houston, U.S.A. (Houston Express).
Maritime Transportation (Crude and its Derivatives)
Maritime transportation is divided into two subsidiaries: Sonangol Shipping who does the maritime transportation of crude, and Sonaship that transports oil derivatives and provides refueling services to vessels located in Angola's ports or within its maritime shoreline.
Telecommunications
Telecommunication services for Sonangol Group are carried out by MSTelcom whose expertise are three types of communication systems: radio transmission, microwave telecommunications and national and international satellite VSAT communications.

Essa provides professional training specifically related to work safety in the oil industry.
Insurance and Financial Services
Sonangol Group has most of its insurance, risk management and retirement funds services consolidated in subsidiary AAA - Financial Services Financeiros.

Its activity is the trade of Angola's crude to the Asian continent. |
AAA: established in January 2001 with headquarters in Luanda. Its activity is risk management for the oil industry, insurance brokerage and pension fund management. |
Sonangol Shipping: transports crude. Its fleet of oil tankers have national and international routes. |
